NC State Cyclocross Weekend 11/14-11/15

The last weekend of the cyclocross season went out with a bang. We had a great turnout from our team, and they battled their way through the mud and over the barriers to get to that podium. This weekend was hosted by NC State, but was part of the bigger NCCX series, which is a statewide cyclocross race series open to the public.  This weekend started off on a chilly Saturday evening in a Blacksburg Virginia slopfest. Before the team precipitation had covered the area. The C men started off the day while the sun was still out. Rider Garrett Clark displayed his stellar technical abilities riding the difficult course efficiently enough to grab the top podium spot, with Charlie Shuford coming in a few spots behind him. Boone Town Throwdown

    It was an incredible day of racing here in Boone on Sunday November 1st. This weekend instead of participating in our collegiate conference race the team stayed in Boone for one of the best races in the area. 2015 Collegiate Mountain Bike Nationals Recap

This year’s collegiate mountain bike nationals were held at Snowshoe Mountain Bike Park in West Virginia. Seven of our cycling team racers attended, as well as team member Justin Evans, who came as an official for USA Cycling. A total of 72 schools from across the country were represented with varying sizes of teams, including Division 1 and Division 2 teams, both varsity and club.
