Navy Crit and Time Trial

Only two ASU riders made the long trip up to Annapolis, MD for the Navy races this past weekend - Brad Kendall and Olu Ogunlela. Brad finished 9th in the Men's A crit and had two 2nd place primes. Olu finished 24th in the Men's D crit. The 17.5 mile time trial was held on Sunday. Brad finished 4th for Men's A and Olu somehow managed to finish the same as he did in the crit, 24th place in Men's D. Warm Weather at Wake Forest

Last weekend the ASU riders traveled to Winston Salem, NC to compete in the Wake Forest races. Saturday morning included a 3.75km prologue, followed by a road race. Travis Hagner was able to stay in a break for most of the Men's A race and ended up finishing 8th. Noah Niwinski and Michael Koballa were close behind in 9th and 11th. NC State weekend

With the kickoff of the season the Mountaineers were anxious to head down to Raleigh to enjoy some nicer weather and get a full weekend of riding. Unfortunately, the snow seemed to follow us down the mountain and Saturdays races were canceled due to snow....figures! Sunday however was much nicer and later in the afternoon the team basked in temperatures in the mid 40's. With the sun shinning the Mountaineers clinched numerous top 10's! -Next week we hope capitalize on more success as the team...

NC State Weekend Preview

The NC State Road Races this weekend were off to a late start since Saturday's races were cancelled due to snow and ice. Sunday was a bit warmer and full of excitement. It looks like the App Riders will have a strong crew for the 2010 season! More to come once results are posted.

Road Season Coming Up

The App State riders are gearing up for road season which begins with our first race weekend hosted by NC State on February 13th and 14th. Although the conditions have not been great for riding in Boone the ASU Cycling team has been braving the snow, sleet, and rain to get some quality training in before another big season.
