Rolling along the highway and passing 2 NASCAR semi trucks plastered with numbers, driver signatures, and more sponsors than the back of a cycling jersey (and Andre and Justin freaking out because of this) could only mean one thing-the ASU cycling team was on their way to Collegiate Track Nationals!!! 1st Meeting!

Our 1st team meeting is scheduled for Thursday, August 25th at 7 pm in the Varsity Gym. The meeting will be held in the health promotions area of the gym. If you are facing the gym from Rivers St., go up the steps on the right side of the gym and then go down the stairs to your left after you enter the building. Tour of America's Dairyland Wrap-Up: Clayton Omer finished off the Tour of America's Dairyland by winning 2 out of the last 4 stages and Ashley James won the Stage 6 Individual Time Trial in Ripon, WI against some of the top professional women around the country. Though school is out for summer, the App State Cycling Team is continuing to win races all over the country! Two weeks ago the group of Ashley James, Clayton Omer, Derek Whitescarver, Nina Laughlin and Zeb King took part in the People's Community Bank Omnium near Johnson City, TN. Starting tomorrow at 12 pm and lasting until 12 pm on Sunday, five riders from the ASU Cycling Team will be racing in the southeast's biggest team relay mountain bike race. After a complete domination in the ACCC in our first year in Division 1, the App State Cycling team traveled to Madison, Wisconsin for the 2011 Collegiate Road National Championships. Torrential downpours, thunder, and lightning did not deter the App State cycling team from maintaining their lead and dominating the competition at the ACCC Championships in Blacksburg, Virginia. WVU Race Report

This past weekend the team traveled to West Virginia for the second to last race of the year. Saturday was the Criterium and Sunday was the road race. ASU continued its dominating ways in winning the overall weekend. On Saturday the women A's went 1,2,3 with Ashley James taking the win.
